11:10 am - 12:00 pm | Financial Transparency Best Practices

Context is key when it comes to being transparent with citizens. They want to know how their tax dollars are being spent, and sharing complex financial
documents with them doesn’t help. To truly be transparent, information needs to be easy to access and understand, for every resident, including those who need ADA-optimized content.  This session will provide a series of best practices and recommendations on how your entity can be more financially transparent.

Robert Battaglia, Senior Market Development Executive, ClearGov

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm | Networking Luncheon

1:10 pm - 2:00 pm | Understanding Arbitrage Rebate

Rising interest rate yields on municipal investments are heightening the need for government finance officers to be more sensitive to arbitrage rebate pertaining to returns on the investment of idle bond proceeds.  As markets have not been in this position for years, this is a great opportunity to refresh your knowledge of the arbitrage rebate rules and regulations to be aware of, and prevent the incurrence of interest penalties on the investment returns of your entity's idle bond proceeds.
