9:10 am - 10:00 am |  Federal Single Audits (Uniform Guidance) and ARPA Funds

Many local governments are receiving ARPA funds from the Federal government in excess of the $750,000 threshold which, if expended during a municipality's fiscal year,  could trigger a federal single audit (Uniform Guidance).  In April, the U.S. Treasury released new guidance which simplifies this process if your entity receives (in the aggregate), less than $10 million in ARPA funds.  This session explains what this guidance means to your entity, what uniform guidance audits (and attestations) are, and the process and procedures for audits conducted under these federal rules.

10:20 am to 11:35 am  | Roundtable Discussion and Practice Sharing - Use of and Reporting for ARPA Funds

Much has happened in the world of ARPA funding since we introduced this topic at last year's Summer Seminar.  This updated interactive session provides attendees with an opportunity to discuss with their peers and colleagues how their entity is utilizing the first and upcoming second tranche of ARPA funds and their experiences with reporting on their use of funds to the Federal government.  Members of the NYGFOA Western Region Council and Advisory Board will serve as facilitators for the discussion with questions being addressed, and best practices shared, at the end of the session.

If you plan to join us for golf, please register for the seminar and golf at the same time. If you need separate invoices (one for the seminar and one for golf) please contact the office at info@nygfoa.org. The registration system will not let you go back to register for golf after you have registered for the seminar or vice-versa. If you would like to register for golf after registering for the event, please contact the office for assistance.

  • Payment should be made in advance or brought with you to the seminar.
  • Pre-registration is preferred.
  • On-site registrations are accepted; however, there will be an additional fee of $10.00. 
  • If you need a hard copy of the registration form, please contact the office. 


  • Attendees must be registered and signed in to earn CPE and/or GFI credit


  • Cancellation notices must be made in writing and emailed to info@nygfoa.org.
  • Registration fees will be refunded for cancellations made up to one week prior to the event less an administrative fee of $15.00.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than one week before the event; the registrant is liable for the full amount of registration.
  • No Shows are liable for all registration fees.
