The process of instituting the rules and regulations for the promotion and sale of recreational cannabis in New York has been slow but steady.  This session provides an update on where the process stands, what we can expect in 2022, and its impact on local governments.

The use of blockchain technology is increasing in the public sector to protect and manage sensitive data as well as streamline traditional siloed and inefficient centralized management systems.  This session is an introduction to this technology, its potential benefits and challenges, and whether it may be good fit for your entity.

11:40 am to 12:30 pm  | Roundtable Discussion and Practice Sharing - Use of and Reporting for ARPA Funds

This interactive session provides attendees with an opportunity to discuss with their peers and colleagues how their entity is utilizing the first and upcoming second tranche of ARPA funds and their experiences with reporting on their use of funds to the Federal government.  Members of the NYGFOA Long Island Region Council and Advisory Board will serve as facilitators for the discussion with questions being addressed, and best practices shared, at the end of the session.

REGISTRATION POLICY: 

  • Payment should be made in advance or brought with you to the seminar.
  • Pre-registration is preferred.
  • On-site registrations are accepted; however, there will be an additional fee of $10.00. 
  • If you need a hard copy of the registration form, please contact the office. 

CPE/GFI CREDITS

  • CPE - Seminar attendees can earn up to 3 CPE credits.
  • GFI  - Seminar attendees can earn up to 3 GFI elective credits.     

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

  • Cancellation notices must be made in writing and emailed to info@nygfoa.org.
  • Cancellations made up to one week prior to the event, will be refunded the registration fee less an administrative fee of $15.00.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than one week before the event; the registrant is liable for the full amount of registration.
  • No Shows are liable for all registration fees. 

Recording & Use of Photography Policy:

  • By registering for the NYGFOA Annual Conference, you give NYGFOA the right to publish and distribute photos and/or videos taken of you during the conference.
