Advanced Financial Reporting

This one-day Forum builds and expands on the financial reporting concepts covered in the  Foundations Accounting and Financial Reporting. The Forum will focus on:

  • Reviewing and comparing the different types of governmental financial statements
  • How to select the appropriate fund to use to account for a given function or activity
  • Identifying the basic steps in converting governmental fund data for inclusion in government-wide financial statements
  • The various disclosures and footnotes utilized in governmental financial statements
  • The latest GASB pronouncements
  • The tools needed to create an effective Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) section in governmental financial statements

REGISTRATION POLICY:
Payment should be made in advance or brought with you to the seminar. Pre-registration is preferred. On-site registrations are accepted; however, there will be an additional fee of $10.00. 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

  • Cancellation notices must be made in writing and emailed to info@nygfoa.org.

  • Cancellations made up to one week prior to the event will be refunded the registration fee, less an administrative charge of $15.00.

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than one week before the event; the registrant is liable for the full amount of registration.

  • No Shows are liable for all registration fees.
